Widely regarded as "one of jazz's finest clarinetists",  Shaw led one of the United States' most popular big bands in the late s through the early s. Though he had numerous hit records, he was perhaps best known for his recording of Cole Porter 's " Begin the Beguine. The record eventually became one of the era's defining recordings.
I wouldn't end a relationship with her, just as I wouldn't deny someone a job, or refuse to socialize with someone who is a Mormon. Be fruitful and multiply.
